High school football players accused of blindsiding referee

Report: Coach ordered hit because ref missed calls, used racial slurs

It's referred to as unsportsmanlike behavior.

Two high school football players in San Antonio have been transferred to an alternative school for blindsiding a referee at the direction of a coach.

The coach, at John Jay High School, says he ordered the hit because the referee missed calls and used racial slurs.

The students could be allowed to return to the school in January.

The ref denies it.
