It’s been an exciting week for Broken Arrow Seniors.
On Monday, the group reopened their Senior Citizen Center that was closed down for the pandemic.
And today, they broke ground on a new building across the street, that will let them expand their weekly activities from 75 to 125.
He says right now they’re so busy they have to turn some people away, and he doesn’t like to do that.
“It’s better for everyone if you can get off the couch and get out and rejoin society and take charge of your life, and that’s what we provide is that opportunity for older folks to do that,” said Broken Arrow Seniors President and CEO Sean Simpson.
Right now, they’re still requiring members to wear a mask while they’re in the center, and activities have been scaled back somewhat, but they hope to be up to full speed soon.
