GPS enabled teddy bear helps nab thief

Cops tracked the criminal thanks to fed-up store manager

After donated clothing in a collection bin kept disappearing, the manager of a recycling store made a move.

He dropped a teddy bear in the bin, but not before putting a GPS device inside it. Athens-Clarke County police say the manager put the bear inside a bag of clothes hoping the sticky-fingered shopper would return.

He did return and he took the bear. Early the next morning, the manager called police to report that the bear was on the move.

According to police, they worked with the tracker to catch the thief. A 55-year-old man was caught and charged with misdemeanor, well, stealing.
