Harley ride at the National Governors Association conference in Milwaukee

Governor Mary Fallin hopped on a Harley Davidson Friday last night in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The evening event was part of the National Governors Association conference.

The Oklahoma governor had to practice riding a motorcycle before the conference.

Governor Fallin, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker and about 100 veterans rode through the street of Milwaukee.

She says, “I have been on a Harley for the last two weeks getting ready for this ride.”

The ride ended at the Harley Davidson Museum.

This is the 105th Summer Meeting for the governors across the country.

Governor Fallin says, “These meetings are very important. The NGA is an opportunity for all of the governors to be able to get together and discuss best practices, to be able to work on issues that are common among all of our states.”

The group discussed health care, infrastructure, economic development and cyber security.

“The National Governor’s Association is a voice to be lent to Congress and to the president and his administration about various issues and how federal policy interacts with state policy.”
