Governor Fallin approval rating down in new poll

The Tulsa World published the findings of the SoonerPoll.com study

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin had an approval rating of 71 percent among Oklahomans at this time last year.

Now, the poll shows, Fallin’s rating is down at about 52 percent. The Tulsa World reports it’s a new low for the first-term governor. Her approval rating hit its peak at 73 percent in September.

One member of the SoonerPoll.com team says the drop may be related to Fallin's resistance to the expanded Medicaid program as part of Obamacare and her actions on education laws.

The Tulsa World adds that Fallin’s numbers are quite a bit lower than the two previous governors.
