Google announces expansion at Pryor data center

PRYOR. Okla. — Google executives says they're expanding the tech giant’s investment in Pryor to $3 billion.

The company originally planned on spending $2.5 billion.

They also plan on adding 100 employees to the current staff of more than 400 at the MidAmerica Industrial Park data center.

The company also agreed to a $6 million grant for computer science education for students in 4-H chapters in rural areas of 20 states.

Google announced plans for the data center in 2007.
