Get ready for the hottest week so far this summer

We haven’t hit August and already we’re looking at a high of 114 degrees this week.

News On 6 Meteorologist Travis Meyer says, “No relief in sight and unfortunately today, tomorrow and probably on in to Thursday, will be the hottest days most likely of the year.”

Even the overnight lows will remain in the 80s.

Last week, the National Weather Service office in Tulsa, issued an excessive heat warning in effect until 7:00 Thursday night.

Trav says “Temperatures are expected to be primarily the highest right around 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.”

That's the longest warning this summer.
