Gas prices keep dropping in Tulsa

As of Monday, gas prices in Tulsa were already roughly 20 cents cheaper per gallon than they were for the same period a year ago, and today, they dropped another 6 cents at many Tulsa-area stations.

Gasoline was about $3.24 a gallon as of Tuesday afternoon.

The drops in prices defy the usual trend of increasing prices as the Memorial Day driving season approaches.

But he advises drivers that prices will almost certainly go back up as we approach Memorial Day weekend and demand goes up.

Gregg Laskoski with GasBuddy.com says refineries have apparently done a better job of making the transition from the winter blends of gasoline to the summer blends.
