Gang Unit officers recover arsenal of stolen weapons

Police made quick work of the case, finding the guns in a matter of hours

Three assault rifles, five handguns, bullets and a bulletproof vest were stolen from a car in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 12.

It didn’t take long for officers with the Tulsa Police Gang Unit to track down a few of the stolen guns. A standard traffic stop later that afternoon led cops to the home of the suspected thieves and there they found the rest of the weapons.

All but one of the guns stolen were found, but officers did find some other stolen guns that were unrelated to this case.

Four people were arrested, three adults and one minor. Jorod V. Knowles, Paige Lottinville and Jalen D. Rawlings all face charges of concealing stolen property. Knowles faces an additional charge of burglary from a vehicle and Rawlings faces a charge of resisting arrest.

Officers told KRMG the thieves were on their way to sell the guns to a Tulsa street gang.

Tulsa Police say the stolen guns have been returned to the rightful owner.
