Free recycling event set for this weekend in Tulsa

The events is open to all Tulsa County residents

TULSA — The Metropolitan Environmental Trust is holding a tire and e-waste recycling event this Saturday at the Tulsa Zoo starting at noon.

E-waste recyclable items that will be accepted include computers, printers, flat- screen monitors, VCR/DVD players, radios, office machines and appliances.

If it has a power cord, and weighs less than 50 pounds, they’ll take it off your hands.

Computer monitors will be accepted for a $10 fee.

The fee for televisions is $21.

Up to 10 tires per person will be accepted at the free event.

They will not take wheels, tractor tires and tires from car dealers.
