Fred Shields is going to prison for life for his part in the 2008 murder of Tulsa businessman Neal Sweeney.
Shields was sentenced today to life-without-parole and ordered to pay a $15,000 fine.
Shields was convicted last month of recruiting Terrico Bethel to kill Sweeney and providing Bethel with the gun that was used in Sweeney's murder.
Aziz was angry that Shields, the owner of Retail Fuels Marketing, had stopped shipping fuel to Aziz's store because Aziz had fallen behind on payments.
Former convenience store owner Mohammed Aziz has admitted paying for Sweeney's murder.
Shields' brother, Allen Shields, was thought to be the mastermind of the murder-for-hire plot.
Allen Shields committed suicide last year.
Triggerman Terrico Bethel was convicted of murder in August and sentenced to life without parole.
