Forecast: Another soaking rain to help drought

NWS: Weekend rainfall helped alleviate rain deficit, but more rain needed

Oklahoma put a dent in the seven-inch rainfall deficit for the year as rain fell across the eastern part of the state over the weekend.

National Weather Service meteorologist Robert Darby tells us the rain that fell over the weekend still has not pulled northeast Oklahoma out of a drought condition.

Darby said, "We saw some widespread one- to two-inch rainfall totals that was along and south of Interstate 44" over the weekend.

Darby says we should get additional rainfall today.
