Flooding not a huge concern with rains falling on Tulsa area

National Weather Service says heavier rains will fall to the south

Rain continues to fall across most of the Tulsa area.

Meteorologists with the National Weather Service office in Tulsa tell KRMG the rain is isn't going anywhere fast.

Lead Forecaster Chuck Hodges says we can expect this rain event to last up to 48 hours. Hodges says, "It's going to hang around for a while."

KRMG asked Hodges if flooding is a concern. Hodges says, "Right now, probably not."

Hodges says southern Oklahoma will see more of the wet stuff than we will. Hodges says, "It could be a good one to two inches. Up around here (Tulsa), probably closer to an inch."
