The ripple-effects from the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will be felt at your local gas pump with higher prices.
Quik Trip's Mike Thorbrugh says oil markets were ALREADY jittery, even before the incursion.
"You're seeing a volatile commodity that's really fluctuating right now, and the Russian situation doesn't help it at all," Thornbrugh said.
So far, shipments have not been affected, but KRMG's Consumer Warrior Clark Howard says just the idea of a disruption is enough to affect prices.
Ukraine doesn't PRODUCE that much oil, comparatively speaking, but RUSSIA does, and a lot of Russia's oil exports have to go THROUGH Ukraine.
"Oil prices are priced typically for stability," Clark says. "When there is INstability, prices spike."
