TULSA, Okla. — Epic Charter Schools will discuss the resignation of a board member at their board meeting Wednesday.

Board member Liberty Mitchell submitted her resignation to the board, according to Epic Charter Schools board meeting agenda.

A state audit found the school mishandled more than $11 million.

More than 60,000 students are enrolled at Epic Charter Schools.

The board also plans to discuss the audit in executive session.

Just last week, the state’s virtual Charter School Board voted to start the process to terminate its contract with Epic.
