Election board reminding people that early voting is at ONEOK Field

It’s the only place for early voting in Tulsa County

The election is a week from tomorrow, but EARLY voting starts on Thursday.

And for the first time, because of Covid-19, it’s taking place on the concourse at ONEOK Field, at Archer and Elgin, in downtown Tulsa.

There will be NO early voting at the Tulsa County Election Board headquarters or at Hardesty Library.

Tulsa Election Board Secretary Gwen Freeman says it has the advantage of being both a big space and open air, but the concourse is also covered in case it rains.

The early voting hours are 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday and 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The stadium area also has a lot more parking.

“Over 12-hundred parking spots are available in this area versus 62 at the election board. The City of Tulsa is waiving street parking fees for those days,” Freeman said.

She says they’ll have people on hand at the Election Board office, in case voters show up there, to hand out maps and guide them to ONEOK Field.

There’s also street signage along the way to guide people.

People wearing an “I Voted” sticker can get a free bus ride to ONEOK Field via Tulsa Transit.
