Duo caught with box full of meth

Wed, Aug 18, 2017 — Alleged drug traffickers will never learn.

If you’re driving in a vehicle with a lot of drugs, it’s probably best not to give officers a reason to stop you.

John Fager III and Mary Collins are the latest to learn that lesson.  They were stopped on Tuesday near east Skelly and South Peoria.

Inside the box, officers recovered a white crystal like substance, an unknown powdery substance, and a green leafy substance.

" I asked both suspects to step out of the vehicle and if there was anything illegal in the vehicle?”  Police said.  “Collins stated that there wasn’t but there was a large brown package in the rear passenger seat that had arrived on their doorstep earlier that did not belong to them.  Collins said they were going to return it to the Post Office.”

Fager and Collins now face counts of possession of marijuana with intent and trafficking meth.
