Developmentally disabled teen abducted and forced into closet

Police say the girl was sexually assaulted

Parents of a 13-year-old Sand Springs girl called police around 6:30 Tuesday night to report their daughter had been missing for an hour.

A witness saw the girl walking into a neighbor’s house.

Assistant Chief Mike Carter said, “Some witnesses in the neighborhood had seen the child walking to his residence. And one individual, that had been with her, indicated that he had asked her to go inside the residence.”

“When officers approached, he denied any knowledge of her being present.”

Carter says police immediately responded to Christopher Ryan Hamilton's house down the street.

Hamilton agreed to let officers search the home.

The girl was found in the closet, where she says she was told to hide.

“The mother asked that she be taken for a sexual assault exam. And the results of that exam indicated that he had improperly touched the child.”
