A Bixby man is in custody after a deputy had to use his taser on him Wednesday evening.
Tulsa deputies say they were called to a home near 47th and Lewis on a burglary call.
When they arrived to the scene, deputies found Eric Pittman choking his father.
Deputies used a taser on Pittman after he threatened them and wouldn't let his father go.
This wasn't what Pittman was trying to do on his Wednesday evening.
Deputies say he had broken into a nearby home and stole a shotgun. He confessed to deputies while in custody he was trying to end his own life, but the gun malfunctioned.
Pittman is currently in the Tulsa County Jail.
