Deputies say suspect is lucky after home invasaion

Victim was able to identify suspect easily. Suspect goes to school with victim's daughter

A man with a knife kicks down a Tulsa man's door while he's home with his daughter.

It happened Saturday near Sand Springs.

Deputies tell me that 18-year-old Kyle Austin kicked in the door then went after the homeowner with a knife when the homeowner came downstairs. The victim struggled with Austin before Austin fled on foot. Maj. Shannon Clark with the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office says Austin was lucky. Clark says, "Anytime an intruder kicks in a door where the home owner is there, if the suspect is able to leave of his own accord, the suspect is a rather lucky person."

The victim was able to identify Austin rather quickly. He goes to school with the victim's daughter.
