Convicted Tulsa police officer wants court re-hearing

Currently serving 10-year sentence

An attorney for a former Tulsa police officer who is serving a 10-year prison sentence for stealing money during a drug bust wants an appeals court rehearing.

A defense attorney for convicted ex-Corporal Harold Wells wants the full 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to rehear the appeal.

Wells was sentenced in 2011 after a two-year corruption probe resulted in 11 officers being charged or named as unindicted co-conspirators.

The 35-year police veteran is serving his term in a Minnesota prison.
