Cold temperatures contribute to fatal Tulsa car fire

Cold temperatures were apparently a factor in a fatal car fire in Tulsa early Saturday morning.

Firefighters responded to what they thought was a building fire around 2:06 a.m. near Admiral and Memorial.  Instead, they found a car on fire.

TFD has confirmed a male was found dead inside the vehicle.

So far, the name of the victim hasn't been released.

The car fire was not started by a collision. Instead, investigators believe an unidentified "heating element" inside the vehicle is the cause and the whole incident was an accident.

KRMG will update the story when more information comes into the newsroom.
