Children found with untreated Pitbull bites

Tulsa deputies are called out a drug call early Tuesday morning and find injured children.

When they arrived at a home near West 7th and Industrial, deputies encountered Veronica Cornelius.  She was shaky and itching to leave the scene.

A short time later, deputies found Joshua Zegarzewski inside the home.

After interviewing both of them, they found out both adults had recently smoked meth.  They also found meth and paraphernalia inside the home.

Things got worse for both suspects when deputies checked on two children inside the home.

Both children had several untreated wounds.  Zegarzewski admitted his Pitbull had bitten both children.

The two adults were then taken into custody and face multiple counts including child endangerment and possession of a controlled drug in the presence of a minor.

Deputies say the Pitbull has been quarantined.

The children were taken to the hospital to be treated.  They were then put into protective custody.
