Monday, a chest that has waited for 100 years to reveal its contents will be opened, providing a vivid snapshot of what life was like in Oklahoma City a century ago.
It all began when the First English Lutheran Church came up with an idea to raise funds for a new organ.
The project, dreamed up by a church member, caught on, and before long the entire city seemed to want to get involved.
It's believed the box contains, among other things, a Kodak camera and some audio recordings, examples of state-of-the art 1913 technology.
Monday, the "century chest" will be opened at what is now called the First Lutheran Church of Oklahoma City.
The chest is 8 feet long, 4 feet wide and 4 feet deep.
