Cell phone borrower shoots phone owner

Tulsa, Okla. — A fight over a borrowed cell phone in south Tulsa leaves the owner shot twice.

A man came to the victim's door near 7100 South Trenton Avenue Wednesday night around 9:30 and wanted to use the phone, but the owner said “no” at first and then relented.

That's when a fight started and the suspect brought out his gun and fired two shots at the phone owner.

The victim was able to drive home where an ambulance was called to take him to the hospital.

TPD Corporal Amber McCarty said, “He was shot in the neck and in the back. Apparently he didn’t hit in any vitals so he’s in stable condition .”

He was listed in stable condition.

No one has been arrested.
