Celebrity chef allegedly beat to death by diners

Police say disgruntled diners allegedly attacked a Japanese celebrity-chef, because of a meal of noodles that they thought had been poorly prepared.

57-year-old Miki Nozawa, who was working in a restaurant on the island of Sylt in the North Sea just off the coast of Germany, died as a result of injuries he suffered in the attack, according to authorities.

They say it was a dish of fried noodles with beef and vegetables.

According to one report, police let the suspects go because of a lack of evidence but were still questioning them.

Nozawa's wife thinks the attack might have been racially-motivated  and says the accused attackers used an ethnic slur for Asians during the attack.

Nozawa reportedly worked for clients such as Mikhail Gorbachev, Denzel Washington and Phil Collins in the past.
