Car plows through Zombie Walk, three hurt

Driver says "zombies" threatened his family

The "Zombie Walk" was held near Comic-Con in San Diego.

A throng of people dressed as the undead were crossing a street when a man in his car became impatient after waiting to get through the area.

As he edged forward the crowd of zombies surrounded his car, a witness told 10 News that's when the trouble began.

NBC 7 reports, the driver and his family are deaf, and his children were scared by the scene and people who reportedly climbed onto the hood of their Honda.

"He kept getting more and more aggravated, and people barely rocked his car, and he just hit the gas and boom," he said.

SDZombieWalk disagreed with that statement on their twitter account.

The man drove away as “zombies” chased the car, he stopped as soon as he found a police officer. The man was cited but won’t face criminal charges.

Three people were hurt. One of them suffered a broken arm.
