Building fire sends smoke into the air early Tuesday

Several TFD units were on the scene fighting the fire

Tulsa firefighters responded to a building fire that caused clouds of smoke to rise from the scene early Tuesday.

Firemen reported that flames were inside a trash plant building located  near 1100 North Peoria Avenue at 2:10 a.m.

Flames from the 100-foot by 100-foot building were described as rising 20 feet into the air when firemen arrived.

No one was reported to be injured.

Firemen remained on the scene for several hours while the fire that kept re-kindling was brought under control.
