BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — People who live in Broken Arrow have reported a funky smell and taste from the tap water in their homes.
The City of Broken Arrow said the water is safe to consume.
The city also said the Utilities Department is flushing the affected water out of the supply system at strategic locations throughout the city. Customers should begin to notice improvements within the next few days.
There is no boil order in effect, but the city said residents can boil the water if they choose to.
The city told KRMG it is is increasing water pre-treatment operations in an effort to reduce taste and odor issues with its treated water.
