Broken Arrow Police issue scam alert

BA, Okla. — Broken Arrow residents with citations or fines need to be aware of a phone scam. Last Tuesday, the Broken Arrow Police Department sent out a warning that someone was calling residents from a number that appeared to be the police non-emergency number. The scammer was telling people they had a warrant out for their arrest with instructions on how to take care of it. Police say they will never call to warn of an arrest, but there are times where someone may call seeking money for municipal court fees. If citizens have questions don't ignore the call, just contact the municipal court clerk.
