Broken Arrow men accused of stealing prom dresses

Door forced open, thousands of dollars worth of prom dresses missing

Broken Arrow Police say that two men are in custody after officers caught them with 11 stolen prom dresses stuffed in a trash bag.

Broken Arrow Police Corporal Leon Calhoun tells KRMG that a downtown Broken Arrow tailor, Chrystal's Sewing Boutique, was broken into last week.

The back door of the business had been forced open and thousands of dollars worth of prom dresses were missing.

An investigation revealed that most of the stolen prom dresses were in Smith's car.

Friday evening, Broken Arrow Police officers stopped 24-year-old Joshua Smith in traffic.

Smith and his passenger, 18-year-old Kenneth Morris, were arrested.

Smith and Morris each face one count of possession of stolen property.

Smith also faces a drug complaint after officers found drugs in his vehicle.

Cpl. Calhoun tells us that the investigation is ongoing and more charges could be added.
