Update: The family provided an update Friday evening that Dallas Lowry died as a result of his injuries.
A 19-year-old Broken Arrow man is in critical condition after he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle.
Police located Pumphrey, who told them she drove off because she didn’t have a driver’s license and was scared.
Broken Arrow police told KRMG 20-year-old Kylah Pumphrey was driving down South Elm Place before 5 a.m. Thursday when she struck a bicyclist.
A witness called police and told them the driver left the scene and pulled into a nearby Wal-Mart parking lot.
Pumphrey was arrested for driving without a license and leaving the scene of an injury collision.
Police told KRMG the victim remains in critical condition.
A community-focused Facebook page identified the victim as 19-year-old Dallas Lowry.
According to his family, Lowry has a severe brain bleed.
A fundraiser for his family has been started and has already raised more than $8,000.
