Broken Arrow looking for new youth city council members

Program provides high school students with real government experience

The 2014-2015 Broken Arrow Youth City Council program runs October to May.

If accepted into the program, high school students will be able to meet with city officials and tour public facilities while learning about municipal government and local policymaking.

During the program, students will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of government by preparing an agenda and minutes for presentation to Broken Arrow City Council.

Applications for the program will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 26.

Participants must be a junior or senior with at least a 3.0 GPA residing with the Broken Arrow fence line.
