Bridge deck repairs close lanes on highway 75

Work near I-244 intersection

It’s already known as Swiss cheese bridge and Tuesday morning, things got worse.

The right lane of northbound highway 75 just south of the I-244 split is shut down for emergency bridge deck repairs.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says “this morning crews discovered a small hole along the US-75 shoulder, and repairs are expected to take several hours to complete.”

They add “there will also be short-term lane closures on Southwest Blvd. under US-75 during this time.”

ODOT asks drivers to plan ahead for delays in the area and plan other routes if possible.

That isn’t the only traffic nightmare drivers will have to deal with.

A large project will begin next week at the intersection of highway 169 and 46th street north causing traffic delays in that area for several months.

For the best ways around these and other delays listen to John Filbeck traffic and check our traffic page at KRMG.com.
