James Garner, the star of hit TV shows "Rockford Files" and "Maverick" died Saturday evening.
Police were called to his Brentwood, California home around 8 p.m. last night.
It appears that his death is from natural causes.
Garner was born in Norman, Oklahoma as James Scott Bumgardner.
Garner had a career in both TV and movies that spanned over 50 years.
His mother died when he was 5 and his family moved to California at that time.
