Boys accused in $100k vandalism at water treatment plant

BROKEN ARROW — Two boys could be in a lot of trouble for vandalizing a water treatment plant in Broken Arrow.

Wagoner County deputies were called to the plant near 41st and 201st East Avenue on Sunday.

Estimated damage is about $100,000.

Deputies took the surveillance to nearby schools to identify the boys identified as about 9 and 10-years old.

Deputies say paint was poured all over the place and windows were smashed.

The boys were taken by their parents to the sheriff's office for official interviews.

Investigators say they both admitted to causing the damage, plus more crimes.
