Boulder Ave. bridge will open to traffic Monday

Tulsans will once again have the option to get to the Brady Arts District from downtown Tulsa by driving north on Boulder Avenue beginning Monday.

The city tore down a bridge which had crossed over the railroad tracks between E. 1st St. and E. Archer St. in 2009.

It had stood there for 80 years, but had become unsafe for vehicles and pedestrian traffic.

The city will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 2:00 p.m. Monday.

The new bridge is wider, and has more room for both foot and vehicular traffic.
