Boston bomber receiving money from donors

Gifts to family said to be near $10 thousand

Accused Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev talked to his mother by phone last week. The entire conversation was in Russian but bits and pieces of the dialog have begun to surface including this latest nugget.

Dzhokhar told his mother Zubeidat that a bank account was opened for him and so far, over $1,000 had been collected.

ABC news reports that the family has received more than $8 thousand overall since the capture of one bother and the death of the other.

One TV station in Britain aired the call and details Zubediat asking her son if he was hurting. "No, of course not. I'm already eating and have been for a long time. They are giving me chicken and rice now. Everything is fine.” He responded.

For her part Zubeidat Tsarnaev still claims her sons are innocent.
