Boom hits Bartlesville building, worker cited

BARTLESVILLE — If you were anywhere near Bartlesville on Monday around lunch time, you may have heard a rather large boom.

Police report that would have been a 150-foot boom from a concrete truck hitting a building. A witness at the scene describes what happened.

"I saw the top of the crane, the cement truck, going around the corner," the witness said. "I saw it start to tip, he was going real slow. I saw it tip all the way over and slam into that building."

The driver has been cited for failure to secure load.

Luckily, nobody got hurt. It did take several hours for crews to clean up the mess.
