OHP: Victim riding in passenger seat during collision

A Morris, Oklahoma, teenager is a victim in a deadly t-bone crash in Okmulgee County.

18-year old Clayton Smith died yesterday when another driver slammed into the passenger side of a pickup truck where Smith was riding.

The accident happened about 1:25 p.m. at State Highway 52 and Gun Club Road.

They were identified as 18-year old Ryan Smith of Henryetta, Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol tells us three other people were hospitalized with injuries.

Ryan was the driver of the 2002 Ford Ranger pickup in which Clayton Smith was a passenger.

18-year old Alexander Workman from Morris, Oklahoma, also was a passenger in the truck.

The other vehicle that was involved in the collision was a 2013 Chevrolet Express van that was driven by 55-year old Stephen Carter of Holdenville, Oklahoma.

The OHP tells us Ryan Smith was partially ejected from the truck.

He was pinned for about 30 minutes until emergency personnel could get him out from under the truck.
