Arrests made during Highway Patrol's DUI crackdown

It was a busy night for the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in Tulsa overnight.

Troopers took part in an 8-hour saturation patrol looking for drunk drivers. They found 10 of those and about 200 other violations.

Here are the numbers from last night's DUI Crackdown in Tulsa County:

  • 10 DUI ARRESTS
  • 5 DRUG ARRESTS
  • 3 STOLEN VEHICLES RECOVERED
  • 1 WANTED PERSON ARRESTED
  • 22 DRIVER LICENSE VIOLATIONS
  • 1 TAXES DUE STATE (EXPIRED TAG)
  • 8 INSURANCE VIOLATIONS
  • 50 SPEED VIOLATIONS
  • 35 DEFECTIVE VEHICLES
  • 69 OTHER VIOLATIONS

"We consider this mission successful because there were no fatality crash victims during the time of the special emphasis.  We did respond to one single-vehicle injury collision on the IDL.  This crash occurred at 2:59 AM this morning and from last update, all three occupants of the vehicle are in stable condition" says OHP Captain George Brown.
