Arrest made in connection with shooting near Tulsa school

Tulsa — KRMG has updated information regarding a shooting near Nathan Hale Jr. High School on Monday.

The scene happened around 2:24 p.m. near East 23rd and South 67th east Avenue.

In a Tulsa arrest report, police say 18-year-old Bogi Maxwell has been arrested in connection with the shooting.  He actually turned himself in for municipal warrants.

He now faces multiple counts including shooting with intent to kill and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.  Maxwell has been booked into the Tulsa County Jail.

“Post Miranda, Bogi Maxwell admitted to shooting at the Chevrolet Impala and the occupants in the vehicle,” police said.  Bogi Maxwell stated he ran northwest of the school and tossed the gun he used in the business near the scene.”
