It's the latest example of how dangerous space heaters can be.
Firefighters in Muskogee believe a space heater is to blame for a blaze on Saturday near Callahan and F Street. There was a man inside the house at the time and he tells us it was scary situation.
“The house was nothing but smoke and flames,” the man said. “All I could think about was getting out of the house.”
The house is believed to be a total loss.
He adds a space heater was the only source of heat inside the residence.
This wasn’t the only space heater fire on Saturday. Tulsa firefighters suspect a space heater was to blame for a fatal car fire.
