Appeal filed for high-rise husband killer

Amber Hilberling's attorneys have filed notice with the court that they will appeal the 21-year-old's guilty verdict.

Hilberling was convicted of 2nd degree murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison for pushing her husband to his death through the window of the 25th-floor apartment the couple shared.

Clark Brewster, Hilberling's new attorney, says Hilberling had "no murderous intent'' when she pushed her husband in 2011.

A jury deliberated for less than three hours in March before finding Hilberling guilty and recommending the 25-year sentence, which the judge imposed last week.
