BROKEN ARROW, Okla. — A GoFundMe has been created for the 16-year-old who was recently shot and killed in Broken Arrow.

On January 24, Broken Arrow Police found a 16-year-old in the road with a gunshot wound. Officers and EMS rendered medical aid, but the teen was pronounced dead at a hospital.

“He was amazing...super focused on achieving his goal but always prioritizing me and his little sisters and making sure I had the help I needed to work 12 hour shifts. He was my backbone,” she said.

Ebony Green said that teen is her son and that his name is Dacari Green.

Ebony said Dacari graduated high school one month after his 16th birthday. She also said that her son was “amazing.”

Ebony said she is a registered nurse, but after this experience she doesn’t know if she can return to work.

“I’m a registered nurse and after this experience I don’t know when I’ll step foot back in a hospital,” she said.

A funeral for Dacari will be held on Thursday, Feb. 2. The visitation will be Feb. 1.
