Stephanie Spring was charged in federal court Thursday with collecting more than $5,000 from the rental of school facilities and putting that money into her personal account instead of the TPS general fund sometime in 2011.
Spring was first in trouble after she and two coworkers were accused of hacking into another TPS employee’s computer in 2011.
A hearing was set for that charge in February of 2012 but on the day a review was to take place TPS Superintendent Dr. Keith Ballard told KRMG news “Stephanie informed us on Friday that she just chose to resign."
That was a change since Spring appeared to be fighting for her job in the weeks after the district started termination proceedings against her.

KRMG had a text conversation with Dr. Ballard Thursday night. He confirmed that the school system won't comment until after Spring appears in court for arraignment on February 12th.
