Female skydiver dead after record-setting attempt

Group will go for the record again Friday

A German woman who had completed 1,500 skydives in her career is dead after an attempt Thursday in Arizona to set a world skydiving record with more than 200 people.

They were trying to join in two formations including one like a snowflake.

Skydive Arizona blames the death on a malfunction.

The group will go for the record again Friday with a missing slot to honor 46-year-old Diana Paris.
