Alleged pellet gun shooter arrested after chase ends in a wreck

TULSA, Okla. — An individual claimed to be attacked by suspect shooting a pellet gun earlier in the day.

The suspect was spotted by the individual later in the afternoon, and the Tulsa Police Department [TPD] were called.

When TPD arrived the suspect fled in a vehicle.

“The car wrecked along the way as officers were chasing it and became disabled. The driver bailed on foot and he was eventually caught just a couple yards away,” said Sgt. Wyatt Poth of TPD.

Police pursued the suspect and the suspect ended up crashing the car near North Maplewood and East Reading.

43-year-old Douglas Brewer was then arrested by TPD. Brewer was charged with possession of a firearm, unlawfully carrying a weapon, unlawful possession of a controlled drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under revocation and operating vehicle with expired/improper tag.
