3 people hospitalized after bad crash in midtown

Witnesses told police one of the cars involved was going around 100 mph before the crash.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police say three people are in the hospital after a bad crash near East 11th Street and South Harvard Avenue just before 2 a.m. Tuesday morning.

TPD Captain Jerrod Hart says the crash involved two people in a Dodge truck and one person in a Hyundai coupe.

Hart says witnesses saw the coupe going around 100 mph before T-boning the truck in the intersection at 11th and Harvard.

All three people involved are expected to be OK. Investigators are working to find out why the coupe was traveling at such a high rate of speed.

The Tulsa Fire Department had to use saws to cut out part of the truck in order to rescue the two people who were trapped inside.
