2 children, animals rescued from home in north Tulsa

Tulsa County Deputies were originally at the home to serve a warrant

TULSA, Okla. — Deputies arrested the parents of two small children on Wednesday after they found the children living in unhealthy conditions.

Deputies went to a home in 2500 block of East 37th street North to arrest Tariq Shoubaki for a burglary warrant. When deputies entered the apartment to arrest him, they were met with an overwhelming smell of animal feces.


The residence was filled with dog and cat feces, trash, bugs, and rotting food. The couple’s 5 and 6-year-old children were removed from the home by DHS. Five dogs and four cats were also rescued.

Tariq Shoubaki was arrested for the burglary warrant as well as child neglect. Ella Bryant is the Children’s mother. She was arrested for child neglect and obstruction.
